Thank you for considering me to represent you in your patent matter.  Your patent attorney is important to your success because as your advisor, you will rely on him/her to guide you through various patent laws so that you can effectively protect busines, yourself and do so cost efficiently.

As a partner of a boutique patent law firm, I have access to the resources required to facilitate your success.  The law firm has a core group of attorneys (12 attorneys) that practices solely in the area of intellectual property which includes patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and unfair competition.  Clients benefit from our boutique size in that:

• (1) the focused size provides our clients with a lower cost structure compared to the larger law firms and allow us to maintain a high quality work product;
• (2) the core group of patent attorneys provides ample attorney man power to meet the demands of a growing start up or business;
• (3) each attorney has a slightly different legal and technical skill set such as licensing, litigation, chemical, electrical and mechanical background so that the client can rest assured that our firm can support the client’s current and future changing needs.

Since 2005, I have served on the board for the Orange County Asian American Bar Association (“OCAABA”) which advocates on the behalf of the Asian community on social, political, economic and legal matters.  The members of OCAABA include judges, attorneys and other civic leaders within our community.  Prominent members of our community are a part of the OCAABA.

Since 2004, I have updated the CEB practice guide: Trade Secret Practice in California treatise on the chapters pertaining to Idea Submissions, Protecting a Company’s Trade Secrets and Form Protective Agreements.   Idea submissions relate to how companies and inventors can protect themselves when they receive or send invention disclosures.  Protecting a Company’s Trade Secrets involve how a company can put in reasonable efforts to protect information which they consider as their trade secret.  Form Protective Agreements relate to non-disclosure agreements with outsiders, employee confidentiality agreements and invention assignment agreements.  The update reviews and incorporates changes in the law.

My formal legal training at Loyola Law School (graduated top 15%) provided me with a solid foundation to build my legal experience.  While attending law school at night, I clerked with my current law firm gaining valuable experience that allowed me to hit the ground running upon starting my legal career in 2004.
